WOW. According to Democrat officials 80,000 slogans ... and this is the best they could come up with???? No wonder Rush beats them daily with "half his brain tied behind his back."

Law of the Sea Treaty is Back!

Like a cold sore, the attack on America's sovereignty that is the Law of the Sea Treaty is back. Ronald Reagan prevented this treaty from happening, George W. Bush tried to bring it back and now under a Dem Congress we may just get it ...

We Hate to Give The Publicity, But ...

We resisted talking about this b/c it's a non issue, but we watched some of the talk show coverage of the "issue" and it annoyed us so we're gonna let it out here...

Meghan McCain wrote a piece on the Daily Beast (click headline) about how she doesn't "get" Ann Coulter she's mean, shes confusing blah blah blah ...

Attacking Ann Coulter for being "extreme" isn't new and it's not controversial, despite what McCain says on her TV appearances.

McCain, a self-described "progressive Republican" called Coulter confusing - well McCain (in one interview on Fox & Friends) went from talking about how the GOP needs to go back to it's Reagan principles, to talking about how the GOP needs to redefine itself and move on.

The big difference we see McCain keeps talking about her love for the GOP/Republican Party, Ann Coulter talks about being Conservative - the two are not the same thing - John McCain was a Republican but not a conservative and look where that got him last November...

Feeding at the Trough?

According to Taxpayers for Common Sense, a watchdog group these Republicans are leading the Pork Harvest of 2009:

• Congressman Ron Paul has 20 earmarks (just short of $74 million) in the bill.
• Congressman Don Young from Alaska has 27 earmarks (over $71 million) in the bill.
• Senator Thad Cochran has 204 earmarks, for a grand total of $470 million, in the bill.
• Senator Roger Wicker comes in at $390 million
• Senator David Vitter comes in at $249 million
• Senator Kit Bond comes in at over 248 million

That's right Ron Paul, who doesn't think we should spend money on the War on Terror, leads the way with some $74 million ... talk about doublespeak

Sanford Says NO

SC Governor Mark Sanford is expected to formally reject federal "stimulus" money today.

Unfortunately in SC the legislature has the power to accept funds the governor rejects. Hopefully the legislature has also seen the light and will also reject the money

Props go out to Governor Sanford, if only more governors would follow suit ...

Yet Another One Bites the Dust

If this keeps up there will be more people who have withdrawn have actually gotten into this Administration ...

And on his way out Freeman, of course blamed the Jews ... Come on Charlie didn't you get the memo?? It's blame Rush Month!!

Free Barack ... From His Staff

Camille Paglia takes Obama's White House to task in her column this week, but she maintains that she still has the uptmost confidence in Obama himself, he just needs all new people around him:

"Heads should be rolling at the White House for the embarrassing series of flubs that have overshadowed President Obama's first seven weeks in office and given the scattered, demoralized Republicans a huge boost toward regrouping and resurrection. "

Paglia goes on to cite the Obama Rush feud as an example of the Administration's problems:

"The orchestrated attack on radio host Rush Limbaugh, which has made the White
House look like an oafish bunch of drunken frat boys. I returned from carnival in Brazil (more on that shortly) to find the Limbaugh affair in full flower. Has the administration gone mad? This entire fracas was set off by the president himself, who lowered his office by targeting a private citizen by name. Limbaugh had every right to counterattack, which he did with gusto. Why have so many Democrats abandoned the hallowed principle of free speech?"

This is why we are fans of Paglia, she is a liberal who supports things like free speech ... even for conservatives!!

He's Ruining the Economy; But He Has a Beautiful Family

Are Obama's supporters turning? Have they finally seen the light?

It started with Cramer and now Jack Welch, Warren Buffet and other prominent business men are speaking out against the way Obama is handling the economy.

Buffet is out against card check, cap and trade, corporate jets, and is saying that Dems should not be trying to use the economy to "roll the republicans."

Of course all of their criticisms are loaded with stipulations "I love the guy [Obama)," "He's a great guy," "He's got a beautiful family" etc ...

Cramer is spinning like mad on his show "Mad Money" trying to get back in Obama's good graces ...

Cue more Emanuel/Carville/Begala attacks in 10 ... 9 ... 8 ...

Democrats Try to Paint Cantor as 'Mr. NO'

Dems. are trying to paint House Minority Whip Eric Cantor as Mr. No for his opposition to stem cell research, the stimulus, nationalizing health care etc, etc ...

This will probably work as well as the "Attack Rush" strategy ... keep up the good work Mr. Cantor!

Stop Card Check Legislation!

UPDATE: Rumors are out that the Senate may not vote on Card Check because the vote is in jeopardy ... This is the time to ratchet up the heat on your Senators and Reps!! Tell them to Vote NO Vote No!! Vote NO!!

Card Check Legislation, which would take away the right of workers to vote on unionization with a secret ballot is going to be introduced today.

Obama's BFF from the campaign/debates Warren Buffet, whose counsel Obama said he would seek on the economy has publicly come out against card check. "I think the secret ballot is important."

Call your Senators, Call your Representative tell them to preserve the integrity of the workplace and VOTE NO on card Check!!!

Vatican, American Catholics Rebuke Obama

After President Obama's reversal of President Bush's executive order regarding embryonic stem cell research, the Vatican and American Catholic leaders have rebuked Obama.

"Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' committee on pro-life activities, called Obama's decision "a sad victory of politics over science and ethics," adding that "This action is morally wrong because it encourages the destruction of
innocent human life, treating vulnerable human beings as mere products to be
harvested."

The Vatican's position is that human embryos posses "from the very beginning, the dignity proper to a person."

Today marks President Obama's 50th day as President.

So many problems in such little time.

Obama to Allow Federal Funding For Stem Cell Research

President Bush's executive order banning federal funding of research on the earliest stages of a human life (embryos) is expected to be reversed sometime today by President Obama.

"Bush had limited the use of taxpayer money to 21 stem cell lines that were created before Aug. 9, 2001. The Obama order reverses that but does not address a legislative ban that precludes any federal money to researchers who develop stem cell lines by destroying embryos.

The legislation, however, does not prevent funds for research on stem cell lines that were produced by researchers who did their work without federal aid."

Seems like Obama is trying to let companies circumvent the law ...

Harold Varmus, chairman of the White House's Council of Advisers on Science and Technology had this to say regarding the reversal:

"We view what happened with stem cell research in the last administration is one manifestation of failure to think carefully about how federal support of science and the use of scientific advice occurs."

And WE view this as more than an issue of using scientific advice; it's about protecting and cultivating a respect for human life in its most vulnerable stages.
